Organised Apps Lab Pty Ltd (we, us) is a technology company in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information and is written to follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What this policy covers
This policy applies to the organisedappslab.com.au website, to any email you send us, and to the tester interest list for The Companion Series.
Our apps and our other ventures handle information differently, so they have their own policies:

What we collect, and why
If you email us
We receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write. We use it to answer you, and we keep the correspondence so we have a record of what was said.
If you ask to be an app tester
We collect your name and email address. We use them for one purpose, to contact you about testing, which includes sending you an invitation through Apple TestFlight. We do not add you to any marketing list, and we do not use the address for anything else.
When you visit this website
Our hosting provider records standard server information for every visitor, including your IP address, the pages you request, the time, and the browser and device you are using. This happens automatically for security and to keep the site running. We do not use analytics software, advertising networks or tracking cookies on this website, and we do not build a profile of you.
Who else can see it
We use a small number of service providers. They only receive what they need to do their job, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We never sell personal information, and we do not disclose it to anyone else unless you ask us to, or unless we are required to by law.
Information sent overseas
Because of the providers above, personal information you give us may be stored or accessed in the United States, and in other countries where Microsoft operates. Before using a provider we check that it offers protections comparable to those required here, but a provider outside Australia is not bound by Australian privacy law in the same way an Australian one is.
How long we keep it
- Tester list: until testing for that app finishes, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first.
- Email: we keep correspondence while it is useful, and delete it when it is not.
- Server logs: held by our host for a short period and then discarded.
Keeping it safe
The website is served over an encrypted connection. Access to email and to form submissions is protected by accounts with multi-factor authentication, and only Stacey Pettitt has access. We keep the amount of personal information we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection available to a business this size.
Being anonymous
You can read this entire website without telling us anything about yourself. You only give us your details if you choose to email us or ask to test an app.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.
Getting access, or correcting something
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@organisedappslab.com.au and we will reply within 30 days. There is no charge. We may need to confirm who you are before handing anything over.
If you are not happy
Tell us first. Email hello@organisedappslab.com.au, describe what went wrong, and we will look into it and reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
